THE CARLTON College of Sport is continuing to respond to the developing COVID-19 situation and are taking every precaution to protect students and staff.

The response of the Carlton College of Sport is in line with the response of La Trobe University, moving to online teaching in Semester 1.

All classes for the Diploma of Sports Coaching and Development and Diploma of Elite Sport Business are still running online. Students are receiving academic content through Zoom classes that follows their usual teaching timetable.

Practical based classes (where necessary) are likely to be delivered in short form blocks when social distancing restrictions allow. Similarly, student placements will resume when possible. All students will have the opportunity to complete their placement hours when safe to do so and will continue into 2021 if necessary.

Current students are staying engaged with the Club via lectures and seminars from guest speakers. Students have had the unique opportunity to receive firsthand advice and ask questions of guest speakers including David Teague, Andrew Russell, Chloe Dalton, Andy Maher and many more.

Students have also had access to our ‘Inside the Industry’ program, allowing smaller groups the opportunity to have career discussions with staff in a variety of roles in sport, allowing for a deeper understanding of the pathways into sports employment whilst continuing to build their own industry network.

We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus as soon as possible. If you’re interested in studying with us at the Carlton College of Sport, join us for an online information session or register your interest.
