Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development
Calling all aspiring coaches!
This diploma is designed for any students who dream of working in ‘on-field’ roles in sport. If you dream of working with athletes on a day-to-day basis, this one-year diploma will set you up with the experience you need to land your first job.
As well as receiving your diploma after one year of study, you’ll also receive a Certificate 3&4 in Health and Fitness and a Level 1 ASCA Coaching Accreditation, making you a qualified Personal Trainer by the end of the year.

- Junior level coach
- Personal trainer
- Recruiter
- Operations Coordinator
- Strength and conditioning specialist
- Football analyst
Continue into further study in a:
- Bachelor of Sport Coaching and Development (direct entry into second year)
- Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science

Diploma of Elite Sport Business
Make the big calls behind the scenes in sport!
If you are a sports enthusiast who is interested in what happens behind the scenes of a professional sporting club, including how sport is managed, presented and promoted, this diploma is for you. Build your professional network and gain essential experience in key business areas across the Carlton Football Club and with their industry partners.
Study this to become a:
- Media officer
- Membership service officer
- Digital Coordinator
- Sport marketing specialist
- Community engagement officer
Continue into further study in a:
- Bachelor of Business
- Bachelor of Sport Management
Students who complete either of the diplomas at the Carlton College of Sport will have the opportunity to apply for four graduate roles at the Carlton Football Club. These roles are exclusively offered to Carlton College students and have previously included full-time roles as Media Officer, Community Engagement Officer, Membership Officer and Football Development Program Coach.
