KEALEY IS READY to hit the ground running as she prepares to study the Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development, whilst also participating in the Football Development Program in 2022.

Her love and passion for sport sparked her interest in the diploma at Carlton College, realising the networking opportunities and diverse experiences that she will have throughout the year.

“I love that Carlton College will expose me to different departments so I can decide what area of sport I love and want to go into” she said.

Currently playing for the Hillside Sharks Football Club in the EDFL, Kealey has the dream of making it to the AFLW and is ready to use the year ahead in the Football Development Program to strengthen her football skills.

With the help of the Carlton College coaching panel Kealey and rest of the players in the Football Development Program will have a unique opportunity to build on their skillset.

Students in the Football Development Program will work with coaches Torin Baker and Kade Simpson, Assistant Coach Maddy Prespakis, Strength & Conditioning Coordinator Steve Moore and Rehabilitation Coordinator Kerryn Harrington.

Kealey is already underway with her preparation, completing a pre-season training program issued by the Carlton College coaching staff.

The program consists of four core programs that will help players to excel in their pre-season for the upcoming year of football.

“I didn’t know how to do a proper pre-season, which the training program has provided”, she said.

“It’s a structured program and has given me an ideal plan to help me with my pre-season training”, Kealey said.

While she will be kicking goals on the field, Kealey will also be hard at work in the classroom studying the Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development.

“I have always been interested in a career in sport whether that be in injury rehab, physiotherapy or strength and conditioning,” Kealey said.

Kealey’s time at the Carlton College of Sport will be filled with many practical experiences, hands-on learning with some of the best in the sports industry and preparing her for a career in sport through her studies in the Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development.
