WHO WE ARE

Established in 2019, the Carlton College of Sport was created out of the partnership between the Carlton Football Club and La Trobe University to provide students with greater opportunities and access in an elite sporting environment. 

EDUCATION

The Carlton College of Sport offers two higher education diplomas, taught by La Trobe University.

• Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development
• Diploma of Elite Sport Business

Both diplomas offer credits and entry opportunities into a range of associated bachelor degrees at La Trobe University. 

EXPERIENCE

Students have the opportunity to pair their studies with an experiential option of either: 

• Placement Experience Program: 100 hours of relevant industry experience with the Carlton Football Club and industry partners to help build a network and CV. 
• Football Development Program: Take your game to the next level with the opportunity for aspiring footballers to spend a year undertaking an AFL/AFLW equivalent football program at the Carlton Football Club. 

EMPLOYMENT 

Four full-time graduate roles are offered each year at the Carlton Football Club, providing real opportunities in the industry and valuable skills through undertaking a formal interview process.  

FACILITIES

Study at IKON Park, the home of the Carlton Football Club, with access to high-performance facilities. Students are immersed in the day-to-day environment of the sporting industry.
