The Carlton College of Sport has a choice of two sport-based higher-education diplomas:

Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development 

Diploma of Elite Sport Business

Both diplomas are paired with one of the experiential- based programs at the Carlton Football Club.

Current year 12 students can apply for their choice of diploma through VTAC

Post-school applicants can apply directly to La Trobe University

All graduating year 12 students will be eligible for diploma entry. Importantly, meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe University courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.

The specific days change each semester; however, students will study between 2-3 days a week. With their time split between IKON Park (Carlton Football Club) and Bundoora (La Trobe University). 

The additional experience programs fit into students schedules as follows:

For students undertaking placement, they can fit this around their own schedule, through selecting placements that suit their personal commitments. The program is built to be extremely flexible around study, work and life. 

Students participating in the Football Development Program will add an additional 1.5 days per week to their schedule based at IKON Park.

Successful completion of both diplomas offers credits into numerous bachelor degrees at La Trobe University. 

The specific number of credits is dependant on the chosen bachelor and the diploma that has been studied. 

Carlton College of Sport staff will assist students with this transition process at the end of their studies.
