Real life industry experience

Our placement program is designed to provide real-life experience that students can utilise to help start their career in sport through:

- - Discovering what area of the sporting industry they enjoy
  - Developing a network of industry-based professionals and building connections.
  - Learning and applying real life skills

Learn more about a few of the diploma specific placements we offer below!

Media and Marketing: Content creation, report writing, assisting with social media.
Events: Assisting with organising and running of major corporate events such as – Presidents Function, AFL/W Best and Fairest, Past Player Functions ect.
Community: Administration experience with the Carlton Respects program, assisting with the implementation of game-day community activations.
Fan Engagement: Involvement with on-ground activations and fan experiences at AFL/W game-days and in engaging fans at Open Trainings.
Membership: Learning how to use the membership database that is used industry wide, match-day experience with members in functions.
Retail Operations: Preparation for AFL game days, retail systems experience, operations of signing sessions.
Partnerships: Assisting in delivering match-day activations, partnerships administration opportunities.

Recruiting: Watching vision to assist the recruiters, assisting in scouting games.
Analysis: Recording training and game day with the analysts, to be used for player analysis.
High Performance: Learning from Carlton Football Club high performance staff across our programs.
Coaching and Training: Involvement in AFL/W, VFL/W and Northern Knights with training sessions.
Operations: Supporting on-field game day operations across several programs.
Grassroots Coaching: Working with AFL Victoria to provide coaching opportunities at grassroots level
